“Hello, fun!” That’s Pedego Electric Bikes’ tagline and also how we felt after our first Pedego experience! We visited their SoNo store a few weeks ago to take a couple of their rental bikes out for a sightseeing spin around beautiful South Norwalk. Ahhh!!!  See how we did…and scroll to the end for a great offer for Unlocking Fairfield readers – your turn to “hello, fun!”

We love it when we’re invited to new fitness studios for a personal training session, don’t we Lora? [Lora’s note: Yes, yes we do – and then we get lunch!]. We especially love it when we get to check out a really exciting new concept in fitness studios. While getting a tough, well-rounded workout from top personal trainer Josh Davis, we chatted with Gina Salese Cortese about the business she and her husband Paul Cortese have recently opened! This post will appeal to trainers and trainees alike. Check out in forma fitness located at 175 West Putnam Avenue, Greenwich.

Oh, and scroll to the bottom for a great deal especially for you, dear Unlocking Fairfield readers 😘

Billy Blanks Jr. had Paula Abdul as a mentor, is a self-taught accomplished dancer and entertainer, his parents are famous for creating one of our favorite workouts from the 90s, Tae Bo, and he was recently appointed the role of Artistic Director of the Wall Street Theater in Norwalk!

We caught up with Billy for a private Dance It Out® (DIO) session – his own fitness-based dance program that you may have seen when he picked up a deal on Shark Tank. You may have also caught DIO® on Dr. Oz, Ellen, the Meredith Vieira Show, The View, ABC, NBC, FOX, The Hallmark Channel, So You Think You Can Dance, and now….Unlocking Fairfield!

Because you never know when you might find yourself in a situation that requires some element of self-defense, we decided to visit Karina Gramesty and Kailen Pirro, owners of Dojo Fairfield, to receive some C.O.B.R.A training (Combat Objective Battle Ready Applications).

Today’s post is dedicated to passing on all of the valuable lessons we learned, and hope that none of us ever have to use it. Knowledge is empowerment!
